Motivational speakers and leaders all over the world have talked about self-improvement a lot. This is because, with time, they realized that most of the problems people face can be solved when they improve their personal life. Due to this discovery, a lot of books have been published with respect to self-improvement, and one of the best of such books is Thibaut Meurisse’s “Upgrade Yourself” Book.

This book emphasizes the steps you need to take if you really want to change your life for the better. You will also discover that your life can be transformed significantly by learning simple habits and imbibing them into your daily affairs.

Control your emotions

When you are in charge of your emotions, it will be difficult for any issue to weigh you down. So many failures that people encounter in life can be traced back to an inability to control their emotions. When you are not in control, your emotions can easily lead to self-doubt and fear; which has killed dreams more than anything else. Don’t let negativity kill your dream.

You are not your emotions. Thibaut Meurisse’s “Upgrade Yourself” book gives the idea of “What gives power to feelings is the attention you direct towards them.” Emotions that you ignore will disappear and the same goes for thoughts. Your feelings come from thoughts and thoughts come from beliefs. When you identify with beliefs, it triggers a thought and an emotion. As you feel that emotion, it gets stronger. Thoughts have a direct connection to your emotions, so you need to work on your thoughts in order to have a healthy state of mind.

When you have a particular way of thinking entrenched in your life, you tend to repeat those thoughts for years. As a result, you will attract the same kind of people into your life and constantly struggle with financial issues, as well as other cyclical actions. If you need a way out of this struggle; change your beliefs, control your emotions, and upgrade yourself.

Health is wealth

Upgrading yourself is incomplete without taking note of your health.  Health is true wealth, but it is so easy to take it for granted. When we have good health, we don’t think about it, but when we fall sick, we think about it constantly because of the inconvenience poor health brings.

Naturally, forces are always working against your good health. I am talking about the things you consume; like foods you eat, words you hear, things you see, weather conditions you live with, soaps and creams you use, etc. These things affect both physical and mental health, which is why you need to be selective of what you consume.

The foods you eat must be from a clean and credible source, it has a massive impact on your physical health. You should also drink a lot of water, your body will thank you for it. The things you read, watch, and listen to, also have a serious impact on your mental health, so make sure you consume only positive things that will help you upgrade your life.

Productivity and time management

As you make progress in the quest to upgrade yourself, you need to master time management. Start placing more value on your time, act as if time were more important than money, and always be ready to trade money to save time.

Thibaut Meurisse’s “Upgrade Yourself” book relates productivity with the time. Here is a demonstration; start your day by writing your most important tasks. Practice completing those tasks in order of importance and checking them off the list. It’s a powerful habit that enhances productivity.

Practice makes perfect

If you want to get really good at something, you need to keep practicing. Continue doing it over and over again until you become an expert. This may be difficult, but it is the surest way to get long-term results.

When you try doing something and fail at a certain point, don’t give up. The next time you attempt it, you will be working with the lessons from the last experience, which will help you work smarter and use less energy.

Your environment matters

Whatever is not helping you live your dream life is working against you, so deal with those things that limit progress. Oftentimes, it means you have to limit time with certain people or remove yourself from a toxic environment. Pay this price to achieve results or fund it with regret later.

Be around people that support your vision. If you don’t know them yet, find a personal coach or imitate successful people you can follow online.

Success is something we attract by who we become.

Goals help you to set a target, and making progress towards this target will shape you into that person that you need to be in order to attract that success you desire.

Remember that habits are repeated acts and we are what we do, so to be successful, you need to be doing the right things at the right time. Now, break down your goal into manageable tasks that you can work on every day, and do so religiously.

Step up your game and get to the next level

You need to upgrade your attitude and take complete responsibility for everything that happens in your life. Your attitude is not about external factors, but about you. You can choose to have a great attitude, and this singular choice will go a long way in upgrading your personality.

Learn to adapt

Find new habits that are in sync with your goals and learn how to adapt to changes without losing your core values.  Beyond modifying your beliefs, clever adaptations will give you the superpower of getting past any challenge just by modifying your mindset.

Overcome limiting beliefs

To overcome limiting beliefs and be happier, you need to condition your mind daily. Most of the beliefs in our brain are obsolete. We no longer need to risk our lives for food each day because grocery stores are open 24/7 but we still fear the threat of having no food, toilet paper, or shelter. We don’t even realize it, but our limiting beliefs have made us afraid.

As Mark Twain said, most of what we worry about will never happen. So stop worrying and focus on the important things of life. Upgrade yourself.
